A vase etched with multiple garter snakes.
Inspiration: the first garter snake hibernaculum I saw emerge in spring was in Revelstoke, after I moved here. I had wanted to see it my entire life. Hundreds of garter snakes emerge in tandem to catch the first warming rays of sun in the spring. They are very amicable to being watched at this time of year and I spend an hour each spring sitting beside them.
Width: 14.5cm. Height: 18cm. Material: ceramic (porcelain/stoneware). White interior.
All my pieces are made, painted and carved by hand and are each unique. My glazes are all food-safe.
